Application:
Tetrabenzylgalactose is a precursor for the synthesis of active components and intermediates of many drugs. It is widely used in the synthesis of intermediates, glycoconjugates, molecular probes and polysaccharides.
Tetrabenzylgalactose can be used in the synthesis of glycoconjugate analogues of acyl uridine derivatives and galactose terminated diacylglyceryl poly (ethylene glycol).
According to the literature reports, α - galactosylmycin (α - galactose-hnj) can be prepared from tetrabenzylgalactose by Wittig chain extension and mercury cyclization. It can improve the mutant enzyme activity of lysosomal storage disorder and provide a method for the treatment of lysosomal storage disorder.
Under suitable reaction conditions, it can be easily converted into tetrabenzylgalactose derivatives such as fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodide and trichloroacetic imide ester.
It is then used to synthesize glycoconjugates, such as glycolipid intermediates, as immunosuppressants for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
Tetrabenzylgalactose can be used for the synthesis of molecular probes, such as biosensors for immobilizing sugar chains on gold substrates. It has been proposed as a general biosensor using sugar compounds. The polymer can be effectively used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of bacteria or toxins.
As a common structural unit, it can be used to construct glycosidic bonds and synthesize various polysaccharides, such as the synthesis of Ag-Al (1-4) β gal (1-4) glc-o-r trisaccharide.
